Welcome
Hi, I’m Jason Rosenburg. I’m a fiction writer/author who loves to tell honest stories that are deeply rooted in Southern culture and shaped by the Queer experience. Those quiet moments that so often go unnoticed, like the tension at the dinner table, memories that are triggered by simple smells in the grocery store aisles, and the silence between people who love each other but don’t know how to say it.
I write characters that are often caught between versions of themselves, trying to hold onto their history while striving to be authentic. They wrestle with identity, family, and faith in places where those things are woven into the fabric of who you are. Their struggles are often faced alone, bringing them to the brink of some of the greatest and worst moments of their lives.
This website is a space for the stories that linger like the summer heat. Stories that share the ache and slow unraveling of the truth. Here you’ll find updates on my current writing projects, behind-the-scenes reflections on the creative process, and blog posts that read more like memoir fragments that share my own memories, places, and longings.
If you’ve ever felt out of place in the place you come from or even in your own family. If you’re still learning how to speak your full truth, then this place is for you. I hope you will find a kindred spirit here. Let’s connect, share, and come together.
